International and Foreign Educated Students

Welcome

Welcome to San Francisco State University--and if you are new to this part of the world, welcome to the Bay Area of San Francisco.  If at any time you have questions about your first-year courses, especially math or English composition, feel free to contact us.

For step by step Instructions on how to take the ALEKS placement exam, click here.

If your ALEKS score places you on pathway 2, please contact us at develops@sfsu.edu with your ID number and your math section preference.  If you aren't certain which math class you should take, please take the B4 survey here to help choose a math class.
